Child Safety Policy

The Wendouree-Ballarat Rowing Club (WBRC) is committed to ensuring that children and young people who participate in our activities have a safe and happy experience. WBRC has a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and is committed to promoting and protecting all children from abuse and neglect to the greatest extent possible, regardless of their sex, religion, disability, gender identity, and/or sexual orientation. WBRC is also committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, and those from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Child protection is a shared responsiblity between WBRC and the entire Victorian Rowing Community. Together we can provide an environment where all children and young people feel included, safe, respected, valued, and empowered.
