Australian Rowing Championships 2025 - Trip Deposit

The Wendouree-Ballarat Rowing Club is heading to the Australian Rowing Championships in March 2025. As this is a major cost for the club we are asking all attending athletes to pay an early deposit to assist the club in covering the upfront costs. The total trip cost for the entire team (coach + athletes) is $61,000.00.

WBRC ARC25 Team will include:

• Under 19 Women & Men
• Under 17 Men
• Under 21 Women & Men
• Open & Lightweight Women & Men
• All athletes will be given additional racing opportunities in small boats

$1,500.00 deposits are payable now and are required to be paid by 13/02/2025 - deposits are fully refundable should you not participate in the trip/ regatta.

Please do not pay for this deposit until you have received a formal offer to attend the ARC25 trip from WBRC Head Coach, Paul Blanchfield.

The total trip cost per athlete is approximatly $2,200.00

All athletes are eligable to apply for the "Local Sporting Champions" travel grant - funding of $500-$750 towards the total cost. To apply please head to this link.

All ARC25 team members must be paid members of Wendouree-Ballarat RC holding a WBRC Rowing Membership - to apply for a membership please head to our membership application page.

All attendees of the ARC25 trip are requested to pay a trip deposit, the trip fee covers:

• Transport to and from Tasmania on the Spirit of Tasmania
  • Departing crossing - 8:30am 22/03/2025 (arrive Devonport 7:00pm)
  • Returning crossing - 6:45pm 30/03/2025 (arrive Geelong 6:00am nexty day)
• Accommodation at Gowrie Park Wildernness Village
  • We have booked 13 caravans to be delivered to the park for our use
  • There may be up to 5 people required to sleep in tents depending on final numbers for the trip
  • We have opted for a closer accommodation rather than a long daily commute
• Catering
  • All main meals are included each day, excluding when on Spirit of TAS
• Boat Transport to & from Tasmania
• Vehicle hire/ local transport
• Team uniform kit (does not include WBRC Racing Zooty)
